travel2japan #25 tasty meals & my bathing experience

Hey guys!
So, I was to Japan as an exchange student. And wrote diary; approximately three pages every single day. As I think it may be interesting translating the thoughts of an exchange student in Japan, I'm no going to do this.
Some backround information:
I was to Japan from March to July 2015(4 1/2 month). I lived in Chiba with a host family.
I went there with the organization WYS (Word Youth Society).
Here we go.

#25 tasty meals & my bathing experience
Real date: April 4th, Saturday

Yesterday evening, we ate out. We went to the station, where Wakari san somehow bought a special ticket (for the Shinkansen, the fastest train) and there, you had to get a number from a kind of machine, One women asked (in Japanese) 'Where did you get the numbers?'. I understood and answered: 'There', pointing at the machine. The women said: 'Thank you'. A conversatoin in Japanese! :) After that, we went to a gyudon noodles restaurant (because I read a book about Japanese gyudon noodles). I ate cheese- gyudon, it was tasty! But I like ra-men better.

When I was in the bathroom, Wakari san accidently went in and told me something about my coar and that we will go to the school at 10:30. I did not really understand. Wakari san told me, that I should clean my coat a bit, becuase there are cat hairs there. Because Wakari san speaks Japanese quickly. I often do not understand a lot of words. I would then just ask for one word, I got but stilll do not understand a lot of others.

Hey everyone reading this!

How to deal with a huge amount of work

source
Hey everone reading this post!
You probably know this situation; it is a normal school day in your school life and you are quite glad about the balanced amount of work, you have to do because you can cope with it and then, all of a sudden, a lot of teachers require you to buy ten new books and write an essay about every single page.
Okay, in the most cases, it is not that much of work, but what I mean is a lot of tasks appearing unforseeably suddenly and are required to get done, often in a rather short period of time.
At this point, you can either panic and procrastinate or deal with it. I have created a five- step- plan of how to deal with a lot of work.

About the Parkinson Law- and how to use it

Hey, everybody!
Today I want to talk about an important tool in time management, a "law", that can be very helpful decreasing the time, a task is done at. When it comes ot planning my day, I have to evaluate, how much time a certain task will take to schedule for how long to work with it. As I make some tasks routined every day or every week, I can estimate the equired time pretty good. Other tasks, however, are not so clear. There, I have to decide, how much time I would approximately give me for this task.

To asses the length of a task, it is helpful to know about the Parkinson Law. According to this law,a task's length expand to fill the time aviable for its completion. What does that mean?

How to find your own time management system

Hello everyone reading!
I think, the first time I got interested in time management and planning my day was when I was about 12 years old. I would take a sheet of paper and plan my entire day, literally schedule every 5 minutes of the day with some kind of tasks I think I should do.
This didn't work.
After that I had a kind of break in my interest in this topic till I was fascinated by time management again, when I was about 15 years old.

How to eliminate time thieves

Hey, everyone!
Do you know this situation when it is night and you ask yourself what you actually spend this day doing but cannot find an anwer. ALthough you had planned and structured your day, it was seemingly occupied by something else, keeping you from getting something done. This is often because of time thieves.

How to use your individual power curve for time management

Hey, everybody!
When I made daily schedules or time plans, I always used to line up all tasks, I had to do, starting with the most important or difficult until the task list was over. AFter that, I scheduled fun or less important tasks. Although I payed some attention to daytime, I did not let tme influence my schedule very significantly.
Although this may be a very easy way of scheduling, it is not always the best way of doing it. What I found to be helpful recently is paying attention to the so- called power curve or one's individual biorhythm.
